Pressing into the Promise
The Lord is my strength and my shield; in Him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.
-Psalm 28:7
This last year, RISE UP WARRIOR gained an entirely new meaning. I met the most broken version of myself but I also met the strongest. If my story can lead one person closer to God, it’s worth sharing. As God leads my pen on paper, I will sing of His praise and await the day we can heal together, through each page of my next book. Until then, I look forward to each moment we get to RISE UP together, Bible in hand, and heart surrendered, pressing into the promise with God.
If you are reading this blog post, it’s not by accident. I’m praying that God would specifically place this blog post in front of each person He wants it to reach. So, if you’re reading this week’s blog post, RISE UP WARRIOR, I believe in my heart that God has a message for you today.
Let’s pray. “God, we come before you with hearts pouring out thanksgiving. Thank you for waking us up today, thank you for being a forgiving God, thank you for awaiting our arrival, thank you for leaving the 99 for us, thank you that the doorframe of our life is the blood of Jesus Christ! You are so gracious, loving, and so, so good. Your love never fails and Your grace never runs dry. You’ve never made a promise and changed Your mind, Jesus. Your “no” is divine protection and your “yes” is blessed with seals of Your promise. Guard our mind as we step into Your Word today, protect our hearts as we lay our crowns down at Your feet, and block warfare as we dive into your Word today. We pray for a sight, sound, and smell barrier between us and the enemy, in Jesus Name, Amen.
The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. I am the Lord; in its time I will do this swiftly.

August, a brand new month, a fresh start, a blank page. Maybe the beginning of this year wasn’t the best for you, maybe you were running trying to catch your breath, maybe you were trying to survive a war so spiritual, it almost broke you. Maybe you almost gave into every counterfeit the enemy placed in front of you, maybe you experienced a loss so heavy, only God can see the broken pieces in your soul. Regardless of how this year started, I’m here to remind you that GOD is not finished with your story! What might have felt lost at the beginning of this year will be made new in divine timing. As we step into the promises God has set before us, let us anchor in unwavering faith with eyes set above on Jesus. There is a spiritual shift in the air, can you feel it? The time is now. You can’t look back anymore… if you’re struggling to trust God’s plans, just look at how far He’s brought you. What tried to break you only made you stronger by the strength of Jesus.
RISE UP beloved, God is working behind the scenes, parting the seas, rolling the stones away, and opening annointed doors He wants us to walk through. As God makes way for us to cross the seas, we can’t look back or try and open the doors the Lord has sealed shut. God has swiftly extinguished the spiritual, flamming arrows the enemy tried to bound you with. The old has passed away Warrior, it’s time to arise into a new season, pressing into the promise, hand-in-hand with God. In this new month, new chapter, new season of life, God is calling us to RISE UP and receive His kingdom-sized favor, His anointed “yes’s”, to walk through parted seas, receive whole-hearted healing, and experience spiritual stones (of fear, anxiety, warfare, silence, etc.) rolling away, pressing into HIS promises over our lives.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
-Jeremiah 29:11
The battles you’ve been facing haven’t just been physical, they’ve been spiritual. The enemy is so absolutely terrified of the mighty weapon you are for God’s Kingdom that he has been trying to silence, distract, break, and scare you. The enemy has tried everything he could to break you but you are STILL standing, grounded in the Word of God, RISING UP above every chaotic waves you’ve faced. You are so strong, so brave, and you have been equipped and refined through the fire! There are armies of angelic Angels surrounding you, shields of spiritual armor protecting you, the Word of God covering you, and the KING of PEACE Himself within you!
God has seen how tired you are. He has seen the smile you’ve worn that’s hidden every break in your heart, He has heard every prayer you whispered as you’ve cried yourself to sleep, He has seen it all and He is coming to redeem your story! God is making a way when there seems to be no way! God is getting ready to POUR OUT His blessings so intentionally prepared just for you! You will never again have to try and force open the right doors, you will never again have to beg someone to love you, you will never again have to carry pieces of battles that were never meant for you. Lean on God, press into His Word, tune your ears to hear the voice of the Lord, clothe yourself in God’s armor, and RISE UP WARRIOR. This is a new chapter of Kingdom-calling, a new season of praise, faith, chains breaking, freedom reigning, purpose-driven awareness. In Jesus Name you will see the face of God, feel His presence, and experience His promises.
Over the last four months, about 100 people who have absolutely no relation to each other have spoke the same message to and over me:
“Jessica, everything is going to be alright. God is making a way for you right now and your season will change in a moment. One season, David was a shepherd, the next he was a king. One season Ruth was working in the field, next she owned that field. We serve a God who turns things around for our good. Trust Him, He is not finished with your story yet. One day soon, you will smile again. One day soon, you will cry again, but this time with tears of joy because God did more than you ever prayed for.”
Today, I want to speak this same promise over you.
“Everything is going to be alright. God is making a way for you right now and your season will change in a moment. One season, David was a shepherd, the next he was a king. One season Ruth was working in the field, next she owned that field. We serve a God who turns things around for our good. Trust Him, He is not finished with your story yet. One day soon, you will smile again. One day soon, you will cry again, but this time with tears of joy because God did more than you ever prayed for.”
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

You’re not the same, and it’s okay because God is redeeming your story, making you white as snow, and aligning you with His will. This was the year the scales fell off your eyes, this was the year discernment kicked in, this was the year the fire refined every part of your soul, this was the year you almost broke but have RISEN UP in faith! This was the year it all changed, by the grace of God. It all seems lost, but it’s not, it’s just beginning. I see spiritual blessings blooming like confetti in the sky, getting ready to pour over your life like fresh rain over a drought.
You are ready. You have endured the crashing waves grounded in faith. You have worshiped through the warfare. You have been refined, equipped, and readied to handle, cherish, nurture, and carry the calling God designed so specifically for you! Your faithfulness will testify, encourage, lead, and equip those around you to RISE UP as God’s heir, unwavering in faith, grounded in discernment, breaking chains in the Name of Jesus, healing broken marriages, silencing the enemy, and so much more!
If only you could see the island of blessings God has for you. God is making all things new this August. RISE UP in faith, surrender all, and trust Him as this new chapter of life unfolds. We may not have all the answers but we know (the) answer, God.
“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”

Invite God in, surrender, breathe, praise in faith, and put your armor on, life is about to get so good. You're in alignment. The new is here Warrior, and I am so excited for the breakthrough, the promises, and the answered prayers. God is here, can you feel Him?
