RISE UP WARRIOR
RISE UP WARRIOR!
Haven’t I commanded you: be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. -Joshua 1:9
Singing a song of praise, I opened my windows early this morning, listening to the rolls of thunder dancing with the raindrops falling over my sleepy town. There’s something special about this morning, and I can tell you in a heartbeat what it is, quiet time with my King, Jesus Christ. In a world that seems to move at the speed of light with ever changing moments in the business of our day, it’s important to prioritize slowing down to spend time with God. Now, you better believe that in the business of my day, my lips, heart, and soul worship my King with my hands lifted in prayer (while making breakfast, curling my hair, making my way through my garage to my car, on the road, at work with patients, at the gym, on my way to pickleball, and every moment in between). No matter where we are or what we’re doing, we have the ability to invite God into the details of our day. We have the ability to make Jesus roll off of His Throne laughing, to praise and worship, and to surrender and walk in faith. God sees and knows our heart, but He also wants us to prioritize moments of solitude to slow down in His presence!
A few ways we can slow down and spend time with God is by:
Opening our windows, getting comfy, and reading our Bible
Going on a prayer walk
Having a worship night with friends
Starting a Bible study
Taking 5-10 minutes to close your eyes and ask God to take you to a safe place, to show you what He wants you to see.
Taking a few minutes to close your eyes, lift your hands, and surrender (heart prayers, desires, wants, anxiety, worry, fear, etc.)
There’s something spiritually freeing about taking a deep breath and surrendering in the presence and safety our Father, our King, Jesus Christ. There’s something freeing about RISING UP in the strength of God, fully surrendered, with both hands lifted. There’s something freeing about pressing in, praising until our soul believes that GOD is the very thing we’re praying for! Listening to the rolls of thunder this morning, my mind rested in one simple truth, the promises God has over our lives already have our names written on them!
Haven’t I commanded you: be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. -Joshua 1:9
Whew, what a relief, right? The promises God has over our lives ALREADY have our name written on them!! If you woke up with an anxious heart or mind, I want to encourage you to pause, breathe, and surrender to Jesus today.
When we surrender, we experience:
Breakthrough
Freedom
Healing
Joy
Wholeness in God
Undeniable Peace
God’s BEST
I want to challenge you to stand on the solid rock of God, clothed with His armor, and RISE UP today, surrendering that one thing you’re holding onto to receive God’s BEST for your life!
HEAR, BELIEVE, OBEY
Yep, I wrote it. It’s time to RISE UP WARRIOR, with ears to HEAR the voice of God, a heart to BELIEVE for God’s best, and a heart posture to WALK in obedience the moment God tells you to!
This might look like:
Surrendering finances
Surrendering a relationship
Surrendering a place you thought you would live in
Surrendering your timeline
etc.
I don’t know what you’re walking through or the very thing God is calling you to let go of, but from recent personal experience, I know what it feels like to want to hold on to something so tightly. I also know that nothing in this world is worth walking in disobedience. Warrior, when we walk by FAITH, we will SEE traces of God’s goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and perfect divine timing (in our friendships, finances, kingdom calling, kingdom marriage, etc.)
It’s time to be STRONG & COURAGEOUS! In the Hebrew language, the term “RAK CHAZAK” means “to be strong and courageous” and was typically used as a battlecry in the Bible. It’s time to use our battle cry as ENCOURAGEMENT! It’s time to be STRONG and COURAGEOUS and pray boldly with a heart surrendered, patiently waiting with expectation! So, as you slow down and spend time with God, PREPARE for His blessings, for when they come, nothing can stop them!!
So, if life has been “life-ing” for you lately, if you feel stuck between a rock and a hard place, if your soul feels weary, if your mind is wrestling with confusion, if your heart is breaking, if you feel out of control, if you’re desiring God’s best but are afraid to let go of what you want, or if you feel depleted financially, spiritually, emotionally, mentally, etc. I want to encourage you to give it ALL UP to the One above, GOD! There is JOY in the surrendering, friends!
I know this might be hard and it might feel impossible, but it might be the VERY thing you need to walk in God’s promise for your life! As God’s sons and daughters, we are given the Holy Spirit, who quickens our hearts with discernment. Warrior, you know what you need to do and God is with you every step of the way, hand extended, with abundant blessings ahead.
If only you could see what God has for you.. all of the sleepless nights, anxiety, worry, and fear of “missing it” would flee. I don’t know what you’re walking through, or if this blog post resonates with part of your heart, but I know what it feels like to hear God’s voice, believe in faith, and walk in obedience. It might not always feel easy but it will always be worth it. All you need is faith the size of a mustard seed.
Because of your little faith,” he told them. “For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will tell this mountain ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” -Matthew 17:20
It’s time to RISE UP WARRIOR, with hearts surrendered, hands lifted, and eyes set above, DECLARING the promises of God!! It’s time to DECLARE God’s protection, provision, presence, prosperity, and promise over our heart, mind, family, kingdom calling, children, marriage, future children, future marriage, and life! It’s time to RELEASE the very thing you’re holding onto desperately and say, “God, show me just how GOOD life can get for me when I surrender everything at your feet to receive what YOU have for me, in Jesus Name Amen!”
Thank God that His ways are better than ours. Thank God that we find His strength in our weakness. Thank God that the moment we experience His presence, nothing else can compare!
There is a shift in the air, can you feel it? The blessing is coming.
